This Sunday we will look at three stories in Mark 2:18-3:6 in which Jesus emphasizes relationship to himself over and above merely following rules to try and please God. When we remember that we are to relate to God first and foremost through the person of Christ, God's commands then shift from being burdensome to being life-giving.
