Chasing Eternity: Work
Chasing Eternity: Work
In addition to the verses and passages referenced in the sermon, below are four additional verses I came across in my prep that would be great ones to memorize with respect to our work. The passages are in order of easiest to hardest to memorize. Also, I have included a link to an article from the Navigators that offers tips and techniques for memorizing scripture.
How to Memorize Scripture
Psalm 68:19
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation.
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
Psalm 37:10-11
In just a little while, the wicked will be no more; though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there. But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundance peace.
1 Corinthians 3:11-15
For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw – each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.
